Can anybody confirm this? I was only aware of the ETC being made in '91 with the 4.9. I have requested the VIN from the owner to confirm year/engine. What do you guys think of this.

I asked if he would be willing to trade my '88 for it. One last question, how hard is the fuel pump on these? I am assuming I have to drop the rear suspension and the gas tank to get to it.

There was indeed a '90 ETC, armed with the 4.5, but it wasn't as stellar as the '91 with the 4.9. 0-60 was a flat 9 seconds, even with the 3.33:1 final drive.

They did make them first year of the "touring" Eldorado, shame it diden't get the four buckets from the STS. I have lots of pictures of these and first gen STS' I've found on the streets, I'm a fan of these first gen car, hell I even have pics of a prototype '88 STS that leaked to the public.

For your question its easy no suspension drop needed (90% sure, did this three years ago) , but I'd be kinda concerned about that ride height in the front.

The '91 came from me. I was unaware that they made the ETC in '90, I thought it was a one year only deal, '91. My bad.

Creeker, I never noticed that front ride height, thanks. I may pass on this one as a '91 Eldorado, even a base model, is more appealing to me because of the 4.9.

I didn't give you the heads up on front end height, I'm on my second 92 eldo. and prefer the styling to the 80's model, in 92 both the etc and esc had the 4.9,in 93 the etc had the 4.6 northstar and the base had the 4.9,
a quick way to spot a etc over a base model is the caddy emblem is in
the grille on the etc and upright on the hood of the esc. I like the 4.9 too.
