Anyone shed any light on this? I removed the 2 phillips head screwws and removed frame. I then removed the 2 torque head screws form the top of stereo but it will not come out. Also once removed any special instructions on installing a new one? Thanks in advance!

Are there any screws in the bottom of the stereo? Take out the ash tray and look up at the radio from the floor.

From the 92 FSM, might help, IDK.

Radio R/R
< > remove or disconnect
1) Radio trim plate
2) One screw from rear support bracket and two screws from front of radio. Ashtray must be opened to gain access to rear bracket screw.
3) Connectors
4) Antenna coax cable
5) five nuts from brackets
6) three brackets
7) Five push on clips

There is one screw holding it in from the bottom. Slide the ashtray out (you do not have to completely remove it) and look up. Right in the center of the ashtray there will be one 10mm bolt.

Depending on the radio you install you may need the din adapter and wire harness. Their are several screws under the radio, but most are for the ashtray, only 1 is the radio. On my 93 their was still some resistance after the screws were out caused by the antenna plug.

:yeah: that antenna cable is heavy duty coax and not real flexible, the connector is probably very tight fit too so it won't accidentally come loose from road vibration
