I just bought a 89 Fleetwood and its very slow. I was thinking about an ls3 swap with a 6l80E trans. Not really sure what all i need for it? Is this a good swap. Not mechanically inclined at all. I really Appreciate your help.

Not that it's not a good idea, but you answered your own question; when you said "Not mechanically inclined at all." I would not even think about it.
