I have a 1989 Cadilac Fleetwood. The problem is the dash flickers on and off, the fan goes on and off, service engine soon light is on and I do not get proper fuel readings.
Can you provide me advice or lead me in the right direction to fix this problem.

Thanks for your assistance.

Hello...
Enter diagnostics mode and post any codes (do a search...detailed instructions are here on the forum)...turn key on and simultaneously press the "OFF" and "WARMER" buttons on the A/C control. Data will be displayed on the Fuel Data Center.

Further, make sure that the battery is in good shape...and the terminal connections are secure. Are there any parasitic battery drains? These cars love a good, solid battery!

Next, verify that the alternator is working properly.

Additionally, verify that the computers BCM, ECM are good. Replacement may assist getting rid of "Gremlins" in these cars.

These are solutions that have worked for me.
Post back your solution.
