Hello all. I just picked up a very clean mint condition 1988 Sedan DeVille with 59k miles on the clock. I bought the car knowing that there was a coolant problem but I have never seen anything like this. The coolant leaks quickly into the crankcase even when the engine is not running. The car does not smoke like the head gasket is blown. The engine is the 4.5. I bought another engine already with under 25k miles on it and have decided to drop it in. I just can't find any info on how this is done. I have the factory service manual and it does not cover engine removal. Can anyone point me in the right direction as far as swapping out the engine. Thanks

That guy never posted the third video showing him finishing removing the engine. Anybody got any ideas on how to swap out the 4.5 engine? Thanks

Ya, like 99% of all techs that do it.
You watch someone do it.
Then you help someone do it.
Then you do it.
It's not that hard, a 100 IQ is enough.
Just do it. Take notes/pics.
Bag/tag fasteners/small parts by component/area worked on.
Organization is mandatory.

Got the engine out. That bracket and the last transmission bolt kick my arse! Didn't know they were there and was wondering why the engine wouldn't separate from the trans.
