hey guys
A 1979 deville has recently come up for purchase at a local car auction, i own a 80 deville coupe that i love, so here is where i need help if i bought the 79 it 'd be mostly for parts, but is there alot of parts that i could use on my 80 since its a different body style? like interior engine emblems trim??:confused:

A lot should be interchangable. The drivetrain isn't much differant, your 80 just has a smaller displacement version of the 425 that the 79 has. The only big differance is the coupe vs sedan (if it is indeed a sedan) so some rear interior parts and stuff like that might not swap.

Like I said the only differance in the drivetrain should be that the 80 version of the engine has a smaller bore and stroke (along with tiny port heads.) That is, if everything's standard: different engines like the Buick V6 and Olds 350 Diesel were offered so obviously if they're different like that they're not directly interchangable (though you could still swap them if you wanted to.)
