Anyone have any opinions about this car? Not sure which engine is in the particular one I'm looking at...but its black, no body damage, near perfect interior, but the odometer says 3xx,xxx...they are asking $2200...

What do you guys think?

Trouble spots are rocker panel rust and transmissions, and

300K probably isn't even "broke-in" yet for those cars.

For that price it had better be in perfect condition. Did they still have a 460 THAT YEAR? Maybe a 400?

No way a 77 requires premium. It's around 8.5:1 IIRC if it's the 351m/400 like in my friend's 77 LTD. If it's in great condition, offer $1800.

It's a no go...they wanted no less than $2400 -- good luck getting rid of it!

Rust on the skirts on the rear...supposedly the fix was an easy fix they'd do for the lack of power everything...oh yea, and mashing the gas from a stop makes the car turn off..

They claimed it was a carborator problem that would go away with time...and no acceleration...I could have sworn the problems would have been from the catalytic converter...

Price is just too much to pay for that boat... I did have everybody's heads turning on the test drive little Puerto Rico though!

That is a carb problem. A $20 rebuild kit with an accelerator pump would more than likely fix it.

That car would come with the standard 400 engine or the optional 460. I have owned both engines and neither need premium, unless someone bumped the timing up for performance.
