Sure, go for it. Then you could be "pimpin77"!
Yea, but I just saw this thing and it was wishful thinking. When I go out and take a look at it, if it is super clean underneath and the rest of the body doesn't have much rust I'll probably get it. My guess though is that it is going to be rusted quite a bit. :tisk:Sure, but didn't you just sell your '88 for the same reasons?
I know this era Cadillac used zincrometal body panels that, although not rustproof, they were rust resilient and held up realtively well. I imagine your seller's remorse from the '88 has settled in, and this DeVille looks like a decent car from the pictures. Being Cadillac-less is agonizing, and this would be a fine ride for the money. You may be even to haggle a bit on price, but I wouldn't expect the seller to budge too much. This is an opportunity that, if passed up, you'd likely regret down the road. My unsolicited $.02.Yea, but I just saw this thing and it was wishful thinking. The smart money is always to find something clean vs restoring something not so clean. :thumbsup:It has potential, but I thought you were done being a hero, and wanted to find something that didn't need a full restoration.
Too true. And, no matter what you do to this car, or how well done it is, you'll never get out a fraction of what you put in. Of course, it all depends on what your motivations are and whether or not this car speaks to you and you decide you just can't live without it. Good luck whatever your decision. The smart money is always to find something clean vs restoring something not so clean.
Fuzzy dice must come pretty cheap these days.I've only sunk $1.48 into mine so far.......
Or, like Wheelman, well under $2k.
Really? I always think the opposite is true, that the lighter colors complement this body style better. Matter of preference, I suppose.LOL...That's the only lucky break I got in my life.
I would def go for it...Besides black is one of the nicest comlpimenting colors on the 77.
I'm inclined to agree in most cases, but for some reason I really like the 77-79 body style in black. Especially with red interior. I think Bens friend has a 79 Coupe D Black over red and I think it's beautiful.Really? I always think the opposite is true, that the lighter colors complement this body style better. Bwahaha. Lightbulbs actually......Fuzzy dice must come pretty cheap these days.
Sorry. Couldn't help myself. :stirpot:
