Also, I checked the number of clicks heard when slowly squeezing the vacuum cruise control bag and noting how many clicks the injectors make when the ignition is on, but no RPMs, which is a way to check the adjustment of the Throttle Position Sensor.I checked the MAP hose to the ECU which has the MAP sensor in it. No leak down found with my vacuum pump.
I even totally disconnected the MAP hose to see what it would do while running.
Black smoke came out if the tailpipe. Lol.
I think Bendix originally had a lot of different ECU numbers for 1976-1979 Sevilles. But, the recently remanufactured ECUs are supposed to work with a wider range of options. I am not familiar with why this is the case.
