I'm new to this forum, or any forum as far as that goes.
Hope someone out there can help.
I'm going to put a cad 500 in my 86 Chevy one ton dually crew cab for pulling a fifth wheel travel trailer.
I have a 74 Eldorado and I have never pulled a front wheel drive engine before. Have pulled a fair amount of rear wheel drive engines, but no front wheel drive. Can anyone give me some ideas, or tricks to help in pulling my Eldorado engine? Also, the intake on the Eldorado is different. Do I need to change the intake to one from a rear engine caddy?
Some one told me that the block is different on an Eldo 500 than a rear drive caddy. They said the bell housing bolt pattern is different, and a couple of other things that I don't remember. Does anyone know anything about that?
Thank you for the help.

74 Eldorado 500 intake is same thing as RWD intake no swapping needed. Bellhousing same as Buke Olds Poontiac. All the same RWD or FWD. Your oil pan and pickup are different though. I pulled them as engine and transmission together on FWD.
