Anyone have any leads as to who might replicate the wood veneer for the door panels and dashboard for a 1968 Cad Eldorado

I am not aware off hand of anyone, however, if you are at all handy with a scissor and razor knife, you might actually be able to do something yourself.

There are a number of word working suppliers who sell exotic wood veneers to craftsman. Although some require you to apply the adhesive yourself (which can get rather messy) you can also get it with the adhesive already applied.

If the old venner is in decent enough shape you can use it as a stencil for the new stuff. If not it would simply be a matter of creating a stencil out of thick paper or such.

If nothing else comes up it is worth a shot. I am considering a similar task to replace the vinyl wood grain on my 68 Pontiac.

Did 68 Caddy really have gen-uine wood veneer or was it "vinyl wood" stick-on fake stuff?

Real wood veneer - I thought about that contact paper stuff you can get at Home Depot or Lowes but I know that it would look lousy

That might be difficult to replace. And good craftsman are hard to find. Maybe look for cabinet makers in your area. Maybe they'll tackle this job. Or maybe they'll know who would.

If you feel that you can do it yourself, I'm sure that you can buy all sorts of wood veneers (try a google search to find some sources). This is beyond my capabilities.
