I have a 1966 eldorado and I had my front end rebuilt recently. the mechanic told me that our front and rear control arms were used on different vehicles.
He googled 1966 Cadillac control arms and a company by the name of global west came up that makes new upper and lower control arms for the front and rear with the benefit of new technology that gives additional camber and adjustability in the rear. My first question is , have our control arms from a 1966 Cadillac been used
On other cars(he said a 50's model Chevy I believe)? Secondly I called the
company Global West and they don't make them for a 1966 Cadillac specifically
But don't know if they will or will not work. They did say If I had mine off the car I can send them in to check.

Re: 1966 Cadillac control arms interchangeable?

Those aare definitely front lower arms. Will they work on 1966 Cadillac? I do not know.

What you need is a Hollanders interchange manual for the time period to see if a chevrolet, or other GM model took the same arms a a cadillac and then look for that item.
