I Came To Cadillac Forums Seeking Info On Restoring And Modifying My Yacht.

The Car Was Given To Me By An Uncle Years Ago. It's Been Sitting Around Here In Florida In Any Place I Could Park It, Under A Tree In Grandparent's Backyard, Under A Tree In A Friend's Back Yard, In Grandparent's Garage At Their New House, Now It Resides In A $500 12'X20' Tent Garage Dealie At My Small Business' Property.

It's Been In the Family Since Almost New. Sat Around Most Of Its 40+ Years, Only 86K Miles.

I Plan On Restoring And Modernizing The Car A Bit. My Current Plans Are A Disc Brake Swap, Air Bag Suspension, Stereo, Maybe Wheels, Nice Mandrel Bent Dual Exhaust With Crossover Pipe (Custom Built By Me)....

Damn... Thanks For The Info Everyone. Hopefully I'll Be Closer To Finished With The Home Remodel Soon And The Wife Will Let Me Get Some Work Done On The Cadillac. Right Now It Won't Upshift Until The Revs Get Pretty High.

On the high revving shift, did you try a new vacuum modulator ? You can also check, if there's vacuum getting to the modulator. It' on the side of the tranny, it's round, and has a vacuum hose in the center of it. Marty.

Okay, Just Installed New Modulator, Didn't Fix It. Any Other Suggestions? I Think I'll Start A New Thread In The Appropriate Place.

Maybe you've got a vacuum leak going to the modulator.
