Will a 255/35 fit on the stock 17" rim?

I don't think you will find much if any 255/35r17. You will prob have to go 255/40r17. The 255/35 goes on the 18's. But I don't think it's recommended on the 8" wide wheel. They recommend 8.5-10" wide wheel for the 255/40r17. I put 255/35r18 on my stock 8" wide wheel and it worked ok until I got the 18x9 which I have them on now.twinsin said:

A 255 will "fit" on a 8" wide wheel. You won't maximize the contact patch with a tire that wide on a wheel that narrow. I'd use 245 max, and that's what I do run on one of my other cars.
I split this out from the thread you posted in since your question really had nothing to do with the discussion.
What 255/35-17s do you plan to run? As n2o-3.6 said, that size is pretty much non-existent.
