Does anyone know why mechanically these two have such a span on the 1-10 scale? I haven't even pulled anything because of the large stopping distance....Oh, oh, CARMA-X just inspected less than 5 months ago by an expert (your words) and " you should have brought the warranty". 39k on miles ,your inspection people, too bad you lost out!
sorry 'bout the commentary. Does any one have ideas on what to check to bring srx braking up to a 'good or even great' responsiveness?
like to drive assertively and more importantly STOP when I choose to.
Thank you everyone.....fyi srx ain't no Eldo!
Also I understand the weight diff...but the brake pedal should have more control over the calipers than it has! thank you thank you and thank you

I too had an ATS with Brembo fronts before my SRX. Swapped out the factory rotors and pads and a much improved feel. I used powerstop rotors and pads, the evolution line. Still not ATS like in stopping power, but I am a lot more confident in the brakes now.
