A local SUNOCO gas station sells 103 Octane gas, wanted to get some thoughts on if I should give it a try? What are the pros and cons other than price?

Unless you tune for it, not alot. Race gas is great for turbo and supercharged motors because it allows them to tolerate much higher boost levels. However, without a tune to properly manage timing, you really won't gain anything.

+1. If you can tune on a dyno, do it. If not, don't.

As far as car performance, I don't think that you will see any benefits from this without tuning.
I do love the aroma / smell of 100 octane when the car is running / idling. But not at the Republik of Kalifornicated price of $ 8.00 a gal or more.

A buddy of mine did half and half on his R1 he said he noticed a difference. That was a motorcycle though and you can feel more power even when you change your plugs.

I also have a Sunoco near me that sells race fuel. It says do not put directly into vehicle at the pump but he did it anyway.

Doubt they really care.

Using the seat of the pants as a dyno, even on a bike, is at best questionable.
As far as race fuel, I would not put race fuel in these cars. Now 100 octane unleaded, as sold in some states, that's different.
