Hi,

I just picked up a '09 black/black loaded with recaro, sky roof, nav, auto, polished rims, only mod is tinted windows. I absolutely grin ear to ear when I drive this car it is just an incredible automobile. I had a 2000 C5 years ago with about $25k+ in mods 700hp (politically-e.com/VetteSale/mods.htm -Take a look (it was sold in '04)) and I still say this V is more fun to drive!

I wanted to get a baseline before I did intake, catback or headers, pulley, and tune. Still has paper filter and I managed 448.2 HP and 448.2 TQ. I thought that was incredible that they were identical (HP & TQ)! 1st run was a bit lower b/c motor was hot. Let cool and 2nd run was best. We did a back to back 3rd pull and only lost a few hp which was great. A/F was around 11.5-11.7 I believe and boost was around 7.5psi.

So, the big question is 448.2 correct numbers for this car stock? I am at sea level (Savannah, GA) and outside temp was about 75 degrees. We did all 3 pulls in 4th gear.

Thanks!
Michael

OK, I was mistaken I looked at the printouts again and it was 438.2/438.2 to the wheels, not 448.2. Is that still OK for bone stock and about 75 degree outside temp/sea level? Seems a bit low but car feels very strong??? What does that convert to how much drive train loss is with autos?

There's a thread with stock readings somewhere here. dyno numers are just that; numbers. It would be intertesting to see what you get in the 1/4 for a top speed. That will show the power better.

I think that sounds about right. I put down ~455 stock, and there's going to be a few hp variation for different dynos and different vehicles. So you're right on par.

I am getting ready to get some baseline numbers as well. I have some goodies to install. Lower 9.5 pully, Heat exchanger,Hand held tuner(Jesse's tunes), and waiting on a CAI kit.

Your numbers seem right in line. Some base line 1/4 #'s would be nice as well.
Keep us posted with your updates!

I hope you did the pulls with " stabilitrak off " mode....press trac 2x untill you get " competition mode " than press and hold a 3rd time for several seconds untill " stabilitrak off " pops up.

Michael:
Always pays to get a copy of the dyno chart. Keeps you informed of what's going on and helps keep the operators attentive.

Hi Razorecko I believe I know you from the Jeep SRT8 forum right? I am webdiligence over there had an '06 and '08 Jeep before the caddy. And I did put it in competition mode but did not know I needed to take it off? What does off allow? I thought as long as you have traction control off it would be fine?? So competition mode simply leaves "active handling (what I remember from my corvette days)" on (getting sideways, etc. not spinning) right?

Hi Gary yes I have 3 copies of my dyno charts (Boost, Air/Fuel, and TQ) charts. I will scan and upload but my scanner is giving me issues. I sent them an email will call them tomorrow if I don't get the info we need.

Thanks!
Michael

1 press = TC off, YC on (yaw control uses accelerometer input to manage power/attitude)
2 presses = TC off, YC in Competitive Mode (more leeway to get sideways)
Press + press and hold = TC off, YC off
