Have a rattle at low speeds and upon acceleration it sounds like the driveshaft is going up though the console. Cadillac says I need a new driveshaft at 1300.00 say there's no kit for the shaft.

Looks like check for loose bolts first, but if it is in fact a bad center joint, the entire shaft must be replaced.

If that is the case, and you are looking at $1300, then I would try an independent mechanic.
