So all my calls to Corsa and the BS about the hanger bracket being the problem - WRONG..... I picked up a pair of brand new Corsa Axle Back exhausts yesterday (hell of a deal) and so far have determined the reason they are different from the 05-07 is the different size (diameter) of the exhaust pipe and that changed on the 08-09 to a smaller diameter pipe.

Looks to be about 1/4 inch different. So, instead of being able to just make the cut, slide it on and clamp it down - that WILL NOT WORK.

This is going to be more involved. Most likely will be able to cut the factory exhaust, slide and hang the Corsa's on the hangers, then weld and fill the difference in the gap.

That really pisses me off that two tech's at Corsa said the ONLY difference was in the hanger on the exhaust side to the muffler, not at the back, by the tips hangers.

More to follow on the resolution of the problem..............

DISREGARD THE FIRST THREAD

The pipes fit fine. The ONLY problem is in the rear hanger. The part # 14157 for the 05-07 STS will not work on the 08 without a minor modification. The rear hanger is about 1 1/2 inch short. That's it. Photo's best tell the story.

Took me less than 5 minutes to find an easy fix. Just a 1/4 inch rod from Home Depot, bent as shown then hold next to the factory hanger and hit it with the Mig Welder - Done... The sound now is awesome!
