I am down to 1 keyless entry for my truck and need a replacement. Can I get a newer keyless remote and program it myself? I have the older rounded version. But I like the newer square ones. Since I need to buy one I figured I would get the newer. Will it work with my vehicle and will I be able to program it myself? Thanks in advance for your help.

Yes, you can. I bought the newer remote for my '07 Sierra Denali, and it works fine. You should be able to program it yourself by using the DIC.

Edit: I bought mine off amazon.com for $46.20. Search "22756463".

Mine came with one square fob when I bought it, so I bought another. Programmed myself using the owners manual. Can't remember exact instructions but I'm sure you can google it. I also bought a second key, oem with metallic Cadillac crest on it. Took it to an ACE hardware to get it cut to the original key (they didn't charge me, very cool people at that store). You can program an extra key yourself as well.

Let me know if you can't find the instructions on Google.
