07 Air shocks

I just lowerd my truck with the Mcgouhys 2/3 drop. The back rides alittle stiff. Is it supposed to ride like that? Is the rubber part of the shock supposed to be hard? Is the back end supposed to drop when you turn off the truck and let it sit for awhile? I'll post some pics when I get it cleaned up. Thanks in advance.
