HI, My06 performance dts pass headlight flickered twice on my way to work this morning. From what I have read this is likely an hid bulb giving me the warning to change correct? Looks and sounds like a nightmare to deal with. I know it is a hid 1ds but 6000k 8000k or 10000k? Can anyone tell me what and where to buy these bulbs that will last and be reasonably priced? I also have an issue with 1 of my led tail lights the side marker does not light up in one of them like it should but everything else functions. Do I need to replace entire taillight assembly?

It happens on these cars, believe it or not if its flickering and not going out its more than likely the bulb, the ballast usually will shut the the bulb off completely. 5000 kelvin is the whitest and IMO the brightest, I personally would not go past a 6000 kelvin 1ds bulb, ( higher the kelvin the less light it will put on the road. ) Try an Internet search for the bulbs, I would stay with reputable vendors, there are a lot of fakes for sale in that market. As for the tail light marker, most likely replacing it would be best, try anything auto or rock auto.

Thanks for the info today on my way to work the passenger one was on for a minute or so started flickering and then went out completely so I'm going to order both bulbs and replace all the bulbs in the headlight assemblies just to save the hassle of doing it again

I just ordered some bulbs off of Amazon (8000k) once they arrive i will install them myself and post the results. Hopefully i can get over this bad cold by this weekend and the weather cooperates with me.

As for the tail light, it is all one assembly as it is a sealed unit. You can replace the tail light in about 10 minutes it's that easy.
