Hello everyone,

I am looking to buy a 05 sts 4.6 v8 with 81,xxx miles on it this weekend. It has a misfire in cylinder 6 and he said it’s apparent as it idles rough along with rough at low speed. I live 2hrs away and was wondering if I can just drive it home or should I fix it there? I know it can mess up the catalyst converter but was just curious if it would make it without breaking down.

Buy a new coil module and change it there, not a difficult fix.

DO NOT d4rive far with a misfire. You will ruin a converter

catalytic converter/manifolds are not cheap on this car. Fix it before getting on the road.
