It was a gentle hose down under the hood, just bought it, wont do it again but wondering if you guys have any suggestions on a fix.

well - something got wet -
leave the hood open - remove the engine cover -
put a fan in the area and let it dry out -

If it cranks, but won't start, try spraying the coils with WD40 (WD = water displacement).

Check the coil packs and harness connectors for moisture. The PCM (188 electrical connector pins) is in the intake airbox.

........ and never wash/wet a Northstar - too many nasty electrical possibilities - and the valley under the intake is wide open, the starter motor is in there and may flood. Intake removal required.
