Just had 2 new tire pressure sensors installed and now when I hit a large bump the ABS light and the traction control lights come on. I can clear them by stopping and restarting the engine, but at the next big bump the light comes on again!

Re: 05 deville ABS and traction control

Do the abs, traction control lights and brake light come on together?

If you're hitting a bump and the lights are coming on, check the connector to the abs module. Make sure it's on tight and the connector lock is in the down position.

If not the module "electrical" portion of the unit needs to be replaced/repaired.

Re: 05 deville ABS and traction control

Whole story...Had a flat. Took it to Discount Tire replaced tire free! Info kept saying low air. Discount replaced sensor free! Assumed they did something to it. Now the problem with hitting bumps and both lights come on. Where is the ABS sensor? They never unplugged anything. Just used a handheld to see if the sensor was working. Now the tire reads the correct pressure, but the lights come on when hitting a bump. Took it to Discount today and they said to take it somewhere and if they broke it they would pay. I do want to check the connector first, but have no clue as to what I am looking for. Thanks for all the advice
