I need help setting up my V for road race duties. It has a cam good to 7500 rpm. It has kooks long tube headers, upgraded clutch, Hawk brakes and 305 front tires. I was thinking about under drive pulleys. But am worried about overheating. Can any road racers help me out? Most racing will be at Putnam track.

I have an upgraded Alradco aluminum radiator and a 14" x 11" oil cooler. With ambient temperature of 75 degrees, water temps easily hit 240 degrees. My power steering fluid got hot and had some spillage so I will be adding a cooler. If you run more than 30 min you should consider a differential cooler.

Suspension mods will be most important. Creative Steel is a great source for motor mounts, toe rods, control arm/subframe/ and other bushings, shifter, 8.8 differential. I did Addco sway bars with Ground Control end links, LG Motorsport coilovers revalved by Performance Shock, Bridgestone RE71R tires and track alignment settings.

This past weekend at Sonoma Raceway g-meter showed 1.25/1.28 g's.

No suspension mods? I always sure that up before any power mods. Also you probably have the basics done? Brake lines, fluids ,and such. Also is you cam spec for racing? What's your experience? Is this a dd /fun track day car?
