Last week I got the battery not charging light. It only came on if I revved the car past 3K rpm and it just happened in the mornings. It progressively got worse to the point where the light stayed on. Finally, while driving down my street everything shut off (headlights, radio etc) but the car kept running until I shut it off (wouldn't restart). Towed to the dealer the next day, where they install one alternator with a bad bearing (or so I'm told). Then another alternator is installed and they say that something is frying the alternator. I did a search about bad harnesses, advised dealer but they didn't seem to think that was the cause. Anyone else have a similar experience? I'd like to get my V back asap.
