04 SRX - Throttle Body problems

I have a 2004 SRX with 51K miles (just out of Factory warranty) and am at my wits end. In the past month and half its been in for service at my Dealer for a supposedly bad Throttle body. The proplem happens when I attempt to accelerate then the vechicle stumbles, RPM goes very high and you can't go faster than 40mph and then the Service Engine Soon light comes on and a few time I also saw on my NAV display "Engine Power Reduced".

The first time they changed the Throttle Body unit they had a bad unit from GM so they had to order another unit. I drove for approx. 2-weeks and the same issue. I brought it back to the dealer and they ordered another Throttle body and told me that GM was having issues with Throttle bodies. Well guess what its been another couple of weeks and this weekend the same issue has reared it head again. I've reached out to GM and Cadillac and they are investigating my repair history and said that they may give me a certificate towards the purchase of another GM vechicle.

Has anyone else had this type of problem? or service for a single issue?

thanks for the re-direct MortnCyn. they had a lot of the same issues that I ran across.

I just got my vechicle back from the dealer. This time it was the Catalytic Converter. They said they think that when the Throttle Body('s) went BAD it casued a excessive amount of fuel to be dumped into/through the Catalytic Converter. We'll see what happens over the next weeks, months, hoepfully they fixed all the issues now. :noidea:
