the rear bezel was not a recall but they would fix it if under manufacturers warranty.....already I woulda been there if that was the case...
All you had to do is tell the dealership that the rear bezel filled with water whenever you went to the carwash or it rained. They would have replaced it for free.yeah, I just had the dealership replace mine. no recall, and it cost about $500. I was pissed, but it's worth it for the look
$500 !!!!!! wow! I know some people got them replaced for free. Something about water getting in there?yeah, I just had the dealership replace mine. no recall, and it cost about $500. I was pissed, but it's worth it for the look
Dealer can check to see if you have any outstanding campaigns on your vehicle. He will run vin thru system.
Also, have him check the blinker fluid. Some of the early 03's leaked a little bit. Ask him about that.
Took my CTS in Thur. for OnStar upgrade, while there I had them check the trunk struts/hinges. When they called to pick up the car my service rep. said the struts/hinges are being replaced under warranty. However since mine was out of normal warranty they couldn't do it and I should check with the service mgr. since I have an extended warranty. Lucky me I talked with a service mgr. who agreed my extended warranty does cover the replacement, taking it it Tues. :thumbsup:I'd hit 'em up for new struts and hinges for the trunk. The originals just don't do the job. The replacements are fantastic!
I still get pissed off whenever I hear someone else who got their headlights replaced for the peeling issue when all I could get them to do is "polish" mine. That does finally seem to be working though so oh well.
Other issues I've had addressed under waranty include the rear bezel (holding water), lower control arm bushings (squeaking), rear differential (leaking), side window panel things (fading). I still need to see about getting the trunk shocks and hinges replaced and I'll have to check about that door clicking thing. After that though you guys are going to have to let me know about a few more waranty items b/c I like to have at least one waranty complaint whenever I get an oil change so I can get a free rental instead of having to wait.
