I have a 2003 CTS Sport. The day I bought this car I went straight to the audio shop to hook it up with a system. I was then told that Im losing the ability to control my DIC. The previous owners had specific settings (seat adjust, chirp, mirror adjustment, etc) set to each key fob. Is there a way to disable this with out the DIC?
I also want to install an aftermarket security system with remote start. If they programmed the new fob it wouldnt have the previous settings right? Or, does it store in the computer. Thanks for all your help!!

The memory programming is controlled by a small switch in the drivers door. It's forward of the window switches and has a 1 and 2 written on it. Get the settings you like then press and hold either 1 or 2 for a few seconds and it will beep at you when it's stored. Repeat for 2nd driver/key fob.
