ok ive posted about this before and now I have everything I need to finally install. I bought an ebay v knockoff grille and purchased a v emblem from my local gm dealer. But when I was going to install it the plates on the grille are way off. Anyone know the best way of going on moving it? Its welded on but its aluminum and I don't trust myself doing the welding myself. Is there any way around that? Has anyone experienced this problem before?

Also, I purchased a HID conversion kit with the mini balasts, does anyone know where the best place to mount them is? I would prefer not to cut any holes or anything like that.

Any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I don't know what you mean by the plates on the grill.

On another note, I installed the HIDs and drilled a 1" hole in the dust cap to pass the extra wires through. The kit supplies a 1" rubber grommet so the dust cap is still a tight seal.

as far as the hid kit, i did the same thing as sammy, and i mounted the ballast under the headlight. When you put the headlight back in the housing, there's a little area under each headlight, so i drilled two small holes and used the nut/washers and secured it there.
