Ever since I broke clips off the door panels in my Eldorado, I am reluctant to remove another one without consulting the forums. I need to replace the driver's side mirror on my Seville. I will definitely need to remove the top portion of the window trim, maybe the entire panel. Can someone give me a quick replay to tell me how to remove what I need so that I don't break any plastic clips? Thanks

If you are talking about replacing the mirror glass, it is not necessary to remove the door panel.

To R&R the entire mirror, the panel has to come off. There are four screws; one at the bottom rear corner, one behind the plastic panel behind the door-open handle, and two behind the leather flap (held in place be Velcro) behind the door-close pull.

Lift straight up far enough to remove one electrical connector and the link rod to the manual door lock.

The internal panel fasteners are the push-in-the-center to release type.

I have the whole assembly with the motor in it. There are 3 bolts tha twill hold it on that connect behind the tweeter.

If anyone could scan the manual page and upload it, I sure would appreciate it.

Thanks,
Rob
