Re: 02 Cadi deville (Help Please)

Do you have the MAP sensor seated and plugged in? The mass air flow sensor on this vehicle should be between the air cleaner housing and the throttle body. Why was that replaced? When you replaced those items, did you clear the codes to see if they would reappear again?

What was the car ORIGINALLY doing before you decided to replace those parts?

These cars tell on themselves when sick. ALWAYS PULL/GET THE CODES.

P0171 and P0174 indicate a big vacuum leak - recheck all your connections -
something is loose or fell off -

P1416 - Secondary Air Injection (AIR) System Bank 2

here is an excellent source for code definitions -

Hmmm............. Define your "plenum duct".

........... and if you did, in fact, replace the rubber/steel coupler between the throttlebody and intake manifold, are the band clamps and MAF clamps on the intake ducting tight ? ANY loose/cracked intake ducting at or after the divorced MAF will set codes.

Are the codes Current or History ??? It makes a big difference.

The EXACT definition of throwing parts at a problem, and GAURANTEED the BEST way to waste large amounts of money, quickly.

You need to diagnose and understand the problem, before repairing/replacing anything.

As sub asked, which of these codes are current, and which are history?
