01 SLS front left turning lamp. help!!!

on my 01 sls all the turn signals work fine except for the left side turning lamp. The right side comes on when the turn signal is activated however the left side does not. all the flashing turn signals work just fine but the turning lamp that stays on does not. I have changed the bulb and that did nothing for me. I gave the stealership a hundred dollars just for them to say theyre not sure whats wrong...maybe i need some type of switch that goes on the column and costs 300 hundred dollars. anyone else know what might be wrong?

Did you read the owners manual and check the fuses and relays in the boxes under the hood and rear seat ?
