I've gone through a couple of batteries in my 01 SLS, including two Optima red tops.

The data center in the morning usuallly reads about 14.9 volts, and the lowest it goes too after a cruise is 14.3. all the under seat cables and connects are new, and its running a optima red top. Just wondering what's the norm around here. I know most after market amps, and electronics are rated at up to 14.4 volts

i get 14.3 when i turn mine on then if i turn on the radio it goes down to about 12.8 at idle. i have a in line converter on the rear sub to send signal to my amp so i could keep the stock bose deck. so when i turn the radio on it then in turns turns on my amp as i wired the amp turn on switch to the radio fuse. your good to go right where you need to be.
