hey, I am trying to figure out if I have the BOSE system. I assume it is because I have subwoofer in the rear deck. 2nd question: What kind of freeair subs have you guys replaced the factory one with? I want to put a decent replacement in there. the battery in under the rear seat, correct? will the amp power wire run from there of the connectors under the hood? the remote turn-on lead comes from the head unit or can the signal be taken from the old conector for the factory sub? THANKS!

well if u have a bose system the radio will say bose on it somwhere. Im sure you do. As far as free air subs i only know of a few companies (maybe leik 2 or 3) that make them. Not sure how big the rear subwoofer is...i was thinkin 8 inch or 10. YOu can go to www.crutchfield.com and they should have a few free air subs on there you can look at. As far as the other questions i cant really help you. Peace

The sub in my 2000 STS is a 12". Your HU will say BOSE on it if you have the bose. I havent seen too many 2000 SLSs that have it.

The BOSE 4.0 in my 2000 STS is 425 watt and the sub is a 12". I have had it out before. Next time I am in there I will take some pics. I have never looked at the sub in a Deville but I do know the grille on the rear deck is smaller(than a Seville's). Are the BOSE speakers in the Deville the same wierd ones with the magnet on the front? I assume BOSE did this for mounting depth.
