If possible, could someone tell me where the ground location G309 is "physically" located on the vehicle? Thanks.

Like Ranger said. What circuit are you dealing with?

According to the zone break-down, 300 series electrical connectors/splices/etc are "inside the passenger compartment".

G309 is the ground point for the power steering column module with N37.
I don't make this stuff up.

Having no idea where you got this G309 information, I will tell you the Tilt/Telescoping Steering Column (N37) schematics in my 2004 Deville Service Manual show the ground point as G200. And 200 series locations are "within the instrument panel area".

I don't make this stuff up.
Where did that come from?

Because I checked my '03 FSM and the 300 series grounds only go to G306. Not sure where you are getting that schematic from, but I can't find it in my manual.

LOL. that was good Jim. Post away.

Sorry, if I sounded grouchy. I guess the traffic around here and the wiring diagrams are driving me batty.

Per my '03 FSM the 300 series grounds only go to G306. Not sure where you are getting that schematic from, but I can't find it in my manual. The closest I come with those components is G200 and that is "LF corner of the passenger compartment under the front of the sill trim plate on the A pillar"

G306 is "Under the RF seat". It's a dedicated ground for the SDM (Inflatable Restraint Sensing and Diagnostic Module).

I thank you gentleman both for the help.

I can't figure why the ebsco site isn't as accurate, but that's why I always ask first to make sure I'm putting this stuff in the right spot.

Thanks again gents.

Jim enjoy the game.

I think I need a nap. The schematics today are wearing me out......

Thanks Jim.

The irony of it all, the connectors and everything else seem to match up except for the ground location?!

....I can't figure why the ebsco site isn't as accurate....
EBSCO is not in the business of originating information. EBSCO is in the business of bundling information from various (unknown and unverified) sources and leasing web access to that bundle to their subscribing library customers.

The EBSCO leasing agreement will include disclaimers regarding technical accuracy. But there is no way the every day library patron would know that fact or even care about the accuracy. This is the generation of "I found it on the web so it MUST be true" mindset.

And that mindset would logically extend to any comments I make.

....but that's why I always ask first to make sure I'm putting this stuff in the right spot.
Good attitude.
Jim enjoy the game.
I enjoyed the game but not the final score!!
