  1. PCV valve elbow

Cadillac Seville / Cadillac Eldorado Forum
I just changed my PCV valve and managed to tear the rubber boot/elbow thing that attaches to the tube running under the beauty cover. Anyone know where to find a replacement? I need one ASAP as this is my DD. Thanks for any help!
  2. PCV Valve Elbow broke inside valve cover...problem?

    500, 472, 425, 368
I was replacing my pcv valve and elbow, and the grommet broke off inside the valve cover. I grabbed some needle nose pliers and grabbed the piece. As I went to pull it out, it snapped in half, so basically, a half moon shaped piece of the grommet is still inside the valve cover. (1/8 inch diam...

  4. Another front passenger window won't roll up thread

    Cadillac DeVille 1985 to 2005 including:1985-1992
I just spent the last two hours searching through all of the old threads I could find, and I still am kind of lost. I have a 98 Deville (regular kind). The front passenger window rolls down just fine from either control. It will not roll up from either control. I don't even hear any sounds...
  5. LT1 Throttle Body Cleaning

    5.0 and 5.7
I'm planning some spring cleaning for the old '94 Fltwd. Any tips, or pointers to cleaning the throttle body. I've never done this on the LT1, so I'm looking for any gotchas before they get me. e.g.: Is removal the best way to go? Any gaskets that need replacing after tear down/removal? Is...
  6. PCV Valve?

    5.0 and 5.7
Simple idiotic question here... Was looking at a 95 Fleetwood Brougham (5.7), and uhh...I can't find it...the PCV valve that is. I saw what I thought had to be it...on the passenger-side valve cover, there's a hole with an elbow-like grommet which goes to a hose that goes up to the throttle...
  7. Whoops! Broke something. What is it?

Cadillac Seville / Cadillac Eldorado Forum
I was cleaning my EGR valve tonight and I noticed an elbow that I need to replace that was cracked right near it. I tried to pop it off but it snapped. It was brittle. It's connected to a sensor that sits on the corner of the valve cover which has 2 vacume lines plugged in to it and a green...
  8. Another Praise for Perfect Auto Finish / TurboManGT

Cadillac Detailing and Bodywork - Interior and Ext
re-posted from the CTS-V section... Ok, I did it on saturday afternoon. Took a few hours because my car was pretty dirty... The initial cleaning steps, wash and clay, was the biggest time consumption. The polish/cleaning step did not take long. Just apply with a foam applicator in small...
  9. Who runs a K&N or other "high flow" filter on the LT1?

    5.0 and 5.7
What are people running for air filters? I just put a K&N on my truck and it seems (SOTP feel) better. I was pondering the Vortec truck filter (4in inlet, large cone) for the LT1. And make my own hot air trap to keep the engine air from messing with it. As for NEEDING a CAI, I see around 2-3...

i have a 1968 sedan deville with a coolant leak. im having a hard time seeing if its coming from the water pump or the lower radiator hose. another weird thing i noticed is it seems like its only leaking when the car is cold. i noticed it leaking at work yesterday. i came home and lifted the car...

  12. Homemade CAI *update*

    2004-2007 Cadillac CTS-V General Discussion
For those of you going the homemade air intake route, 4" AL tubing will fit. It is a tight fit, but there is plenty of clearance between the engine and tubing. However, it will barely touch on the right radiator bolt. Nothing to worry about, IMO. Be prepared to trim the 90deg elbow. I had to...

I'm in the process of installing a boost guage in my ashtray.I haven't cut the hole bigger where the cig lighter was yet.My problem is the boost guage is to deep to allow the ash tray to close, mainly due to the length of the stem coming out of the back where you hook the line up to it.I can shim...

  16. My $40.00, Four Inch Air Intake

    2004-2007 Cadillac CTS-V Performance Mods
Correction, that's $40.00 less the K&N air filter. I have no idea if the performance is any better than a 3.5" tubes performance, but I thought I would give it a try. Perhaps not as clean as the production models but the price is right and it works better than that plastic snorkle of a stock...

  19. Headlight repair results

I recently asked on this board about replacing my foggy headlamp covers. I was directed to a link explaining how to do the repair instead of buying new headlamp covers, which included sandpaper and polish. I read the directions and set out to get 600, 1000, 1500 & 2000 grit sandpaper. I live in...
