History
3 owner car. First owner purchased the car new from Arnold Jerome Cadillac in Pontiac Michigan in 1979. I has not been driven since 2006 when the original owner had it emissions inspected. The second owner is the dealership that purchased the car from the first owner in Missouri and transferred it to his dealership of classic cars in Staunton Ill. We purchased the car with 29,604 document original miles. Everything is original including the special order seats. Since it is a 40 year old survivor we consulted our local Cadillac club and local dealership to see what we should and should not do to. The paint is nice and will be buffed. It needs a few items and we are slowly going through it. It runs and drives great. Our goal is to leave it as much as we can a survivor.

Modifications

Drivetrain
Original Oldsmobile 350 (5.7) EFI with a 3 speed transmission
Interior
New dash pad from a 1979 Cadillac Eldorado. Original one was cracked. Re-clearing the burl wood and had to repaint the chrome trim on the dash. It had yellowed with age and looked pretty bad. The burl wood trim was cracked on the drivers door where your arm would hit it. It is replaced with the wood burl trim from a 1979 Eldorado. Burl wood was only used in 1979. Will not be replacing the seat as age and the lack of care they have developed some wear in the front seats. They will be refinished but not replaced. Back seat is in great shape. Carpet was cleaned. Had to purchase new floor mats. Trunk mat is original. original trash can remains. All accessories wok except the passenger window regulator had to be replaced.
Exterior
Was missing one filler panel and a couple others were cracked. We are replacing the missing driver side rear with a new fiberglass one painted to match. The other wo that were cracked are being replaces with ones from a 1979 Saxony red Eldorado. Front light bezels had broken tabs and I found NOS replacements. They are correct for 79 with not center pillar between the running lights. The white original vinyl top is in really good shape for its age and considering how long the car sat. It does show a few cracks and has lifted in the front top center and on the passenger side. It will be repaired and re-colored otherwise it will not match and look worse. Until the body shop buffs out the paint and removes the few scratches we have had it coated with a clear ceramic coating to preserve the paint.
Audio
Updated the speakers. The stereo is the ETR AM/FM - 8 Track - CB. Everything functions so I left the radio alone
Lighting
Replaced all bulbs
Exhaust
Replaced the muffler and resonator
Wheel and Tire
Replaced wheel caps with NOS caps on the alloy wheel option only available for the Barritz. These wheels were 1979 only

Beautiful car! The dealership was owned by my dad, Arnold K Jerome, Jr, at the time of the original purchase. He was the 3rd generation to own it. If your looking to get as original as possible as when it was at the dealership, let me know and I can get you a dealer key tag and name plate for the deck lid. You can contact me at [email protected] c o m
