  1. Door locks freezing in lock position

    2008-2013 Cadillac CTS General Discussion
Can't help with the 2009 CTS, but I can say that in Calgary, I still wash my ATS all winter, and have never had a problem with anything inside the door freezing. The worst I've had is the little button on the door handle freezing so I have to use the fob, or sometimes if I don't wipe the sills...
  2. LED Accent lights, power wire?

Cadillac Escalade, EXT and ESV Forum - 2007-2014
I can't remember which fuse I used, but it's one in the little side panel just inside the driver's door. Made it really easy to run cables. I'll see if I can check when I leave work today.
  3. LED Accent lights, power wire?

Cadillac Escalade, EXT and ESV Forum - 2007-2014
I'd just use a fuse tap on the headlight fuse if that's possible. Check the owner's manual for the fuse diagram. That's what I did to power my dashcam only when the vehicle is on. The one I used isn't the one you'd want, but there's gotta be a similar fuse for headlights.
  4. ATS Fog Lights...pics, suggestions, ideas, successful additions (I have a Lux model)

Cadillac ATS Picture and Appearance Forum
If you're at all mechanically inclined, adding the lower "fog lights" as you call them is pretty easy. The OEM lights themselves from RockAuto were about $80US each (a little more for us Canadians), and it took me an afternoon to install them. The 2013 would be way easier because you don't have...
  5. Furiosa finally looking CLEAN as intended

Cadillac ATS Picture and Appearance Forum
Looks good? How long have you had the Eibachs? I'm waiting for the warranty to run out and might do something similar.

    2008-2013 Cadillac CTS General Discussion
Small detail, but you probably only need to hit the lock button once. At least for my ATS I only have to hit it once and then hold the remote start button for about 4 seconds and she goes. Can't imagine they would have such a small difference as to make it require 2 pushes on a different model.
  8. Update Lights to ones with the LED strips?

Cadillac ATS Picture and Appearance Forum
The headlight upgrade portion is a nightmare. Expensive, and requires wiring changes. You can do the lower LEDs relatively easily and cheaply if you're a bit handy though; I'd start with that. I did it, and many others here have...
  9. 2016 ATS with OEM DRLs installed

Cadillac ATS Picture and Appearance Forum
If you wire the lower LEDs the same as me, you won't need anything in terms of anti-flicker. See the pic from the previous page with the wiring. Just spliced straight into the yellow headlight wire. The only thing I can't talk about are HIDs. I just swapped my factory halogens for LEDs, so I...
  10. Who actually uses their sunroof?

    Cadillac XTS Forum 2013-2019
LOL not quite. Actually Calgary is one of the cities with the most sun in North America, if I remember right. I don't open it much during the winter. But the spring/summer/fall as often as weather permits!
  11. Who actually uses their sunroof?

    Cadillac XTS Forum 2013-2019
I live in Canada where it's winter 15 months a year, and I still use my sunroof every day I possibly can. Whether it's the tilt or full open, I crack it as often as possible. Almost never close the sunshade either. Nothing like driving with windows down and sunroof open, and still having the...
  12. ATS Hub Centric Rings

Cadillac ATS Picture and Appearance Forum
There's a huge rabbit hole you can go down trying to determine whether bolt pattern of 5x114.3 will work on 5x115. Some say yes, it's fine, some say no way. Some have done it with no problems, some have talked horror stories about the lugs under tension and the centrifical force exponentially...
  13. 2013 ATS is it possible to install fog lights if my car does not have any?

Cadillac ATS Picture and Appearance Forum
Installing the lower LEDs on an ATS? It's easy. The bumper already has the cutouts. Buy the lights from rockauto.com, took me a couple hours plus a couple hours prep/research. Mine's a 2016 but tanayast did it on his 2013, which are even easier than the 2016. I can provide millions more...
  14. Projection function in Cue doesn't work for me

Cadillac XT5 First Generation Forum (2017+)
I was going to mimic what abashrawi said above. I have a 2016 ATS, and while different, I know Android support was only released partway through the model year, and my car is an example of one that has Apple CarPlay but not Android Auto. I'm guessing yours might fall into that category too...
  15. ATS AWD characteristics

    Cadillac ATS Performance Forum
This is good info, thanks! I've seen a few people do the fuse modification here, so that all seems to make sense. Interesting that it seems to be 100% rear-bias. I wonder if that means turning off TC in the winter would be mostly RWD behaviour then.
  16. ATS AWD characteristics

    Cadillac ATS Performance Forum
I've searched and haven't been able to find anything definitive that describes the ATS AWD system. Does anyone have any links or info about the mechanics of how it actually operates in various conditions? IE, whats the power split in normal conditions, does it change front/rear bias under...
  17. 2015 ats, Led headlights, dust cover size

    Cadillac ATS General Discussion Forum
I couldn't find any replacements, I ended up cutting mine and resealing with electrical tape, and then liquid electrical tape overtop. Took a few minutes and was done. https://www.cadillacforums.com/threads/2016-ats-with-oem-drls-installed.1086208/post-17741918
  18. 2016 ATS with OEM DRLs installed

Cadillac ATS Picture and Appearance Forum
Have done lots of night driving with them now, and pretty happy with the results. It's subjective, so I can't say for sure if the overall brightness is brighter than before, but it sure seems like it. Plus the light is much whiter, which also seems to illuminate way better.
