    Transferring Warranties

Although my original 6 year drive train warranty on my new to me XTS expires this month, it is my understanding that the emissions warranty runs longer - ? years or 100K miles? Have others transferred the warranty to their name? Is it worth the effort? Thanks, Mr Earl

    Re: Transferring Warranties

There is no need to transfer the warranty. It goes with the vehicle. Certain emission parts will go 8 years or 80,000 miles. If you have your owners manual, it will list everything that is covered by the 7yr/70,000 mile warranty & also the 8yr/80,000 mile warranty.

Thanks, Max. Does the 13 XTS have a 7y/70K drive train warranty? Sorry, too lazy to look up.

Apologies, Max seemed knowledgeable. I admitted my laziness, though. For the 2013 it is 6y/70K for drive train, and 8y/80K for emissions (certain parts, as Max said).
