Air ionizer? Wife would like that a lot.

Presumably I'm eligible to roll my lease over in January.

(UV3) Night Vision. Would that be something projected similar to a HUD?

Nope, appears to be imaged within the DIC. The old DTS had one in the HUD, but this is different.

It would be much more useful projected on the windshield. I cannot imagine seeing the image very well in the DIC. I like the HUD because images can be seen as you look down the road...not so much in the DIC.

A 2.0 L 4 banger turbo now offered the same as in the XT4. Hard to believe it will be acceptable. I'm so done with 4 cyl turbos. Bring on a hybrid or EV now.

From what I’ve read the xt4 is over a second slower zero to sixty and this is on a lighter car. I think it was about 7.5 sec. that would be about 9 sec on the 5. No thanks. That’s why I won’t doa 4 as we really don’t need a 5 as no one has ever set in the back in over a year.

I think if there is an up-charge for the V-6 in the new XT5, when you can use regular gas in the 3.6 and recommended hi-test for the "4", performance may be a wash so what's the point. This in my opinion would be an error on Cadillac's part.

4 cylinder turbo? not a smart move on the XT5 and I would imagine it will be an upcharge for the V6. I noticed no mention of the stop/start bypass button? Interesting the mention of a "sport" model, reminds me of a rehash of the 2010 SRX, seems to me the same options were available on that. Night vision assist is just about the only thing that peaks my interest but still not enough to consider buying one.

    It's there, under Powertrain:
    (KL9) Automatic Stop/Start, with disable

Chances are though, it will be like other models. Pushing the disable button only disables it for this engine cycle. Turn off, and restart the engine, and start/stop will be re-enabled.
