Theres a guy selling his lexani lss-5 rims nearby off his acura TL and everything would fit perfect besides that .7mm.... Im sure this has been asked before so don't hate me but I would really like to know if it works and if so, how to do it!

It is possible, but I wouldn't do it. I had 114.3mm on my 115mm for awhile and ended up replacing 3 studs on the right front. It puts a lot of strain on the studs. It bows them in and also you have to factor in there is more rotating mass due to the bigger rim(assuming you are going bigger) than the studs were designed for. I actually got really lucky my aftermarket wheels had hub covers and weren't the type with the lugs showing. Otherwise, I wouldn't have noticed the lugs rattling around inside and could have lost a wheel on the highway.

Thanks guys looks like I'll turn down the offer.. im having the hardest time finding the rims I want :crying: I didn't realize that a wheel could fall off from such a small difference

to clarify, the 05 STS v6 has a 115mm bolts right ? different websites are telling me different things

I have put 114.3mm on a 115mm before with no problems and had plenty of friends who have done it with also no problems. The one time I found 3 lugs sitting behind the hub cap was enough for me. I have since purchased the correct size 18" KMC Rockstar wheels. I wouldn't risk it and especially if you have a wife or kids who ride in the car with you.

Yes it is 115mm. A good site I have found for verifying wheel patterns and offsets is http://myboltpattern.com

^ Oh yea other people put wrong wheels on their car and drive unsafe so that makes it ok for others.....

Clearly good advice right there...

The right tool for the job man, 5x115 is the correct offset, stick to it. Dont save a few buck buy some used rims to make them fit and be looking an insurance claim if your car throws a wheel and damages your car as well as other motorists not to mention your life and others....

Would you let your daughter drive a car with the wrong lose lug nuts? Same premise here man...
