Can the windows/sunroof be controlled from the remote fob?

I didn't see anything in the manual, but then I didn't read it cover to cover either. I know some vehicles a certain combination of button presses/holds on the remote will open or close all windows/sunroof.

I'm not sure about all years and trim combinations, but my manual for Bettie Lou said all windows will roll up, after the car is locked. I press the key fob to lock her, then press and hold again to roll up any lowered windows. Saves you from running out in the rain. IDK if it will close your sunroof.

Too bad it won't roll them down the same way with the unlock, but it won't.

Thanks, I'll try that and see what happens. I never lock the car manually since it locks itself when you walk away. When I go to work, I throw the fob in my briefcase so it's not even handy to use. I'm mostly looking to close the sunroof because if it's nice out, I leave it popped at work and if it starts to rain, it would be nice to close it without leaving the building.

Doesn't work on the 2005 models. I think it came about in 2006.

Fob won't close the sunroof unfortunately, but will close the windows if you want. Hell, my '95 Seville STS had a water sensor for the sunroof....Why doesn't this damn thing?

That was an after market sunroof. They did not come from the factory like that. I had one installed on a 93 STS that I had & it also had the water sensor. Pretty cool!

Re: Can the windows/sunroof be controlled from the remote fob?

Swapping the RCDLR will give the 05 model the feature.
The closing of the windows is part of the secure car feature.
I do find it annoying the sunroof isn’t included in that control.

Being able to remotely open the windows though is a big liability issue as an accidental engagement of this feature could easily ruin a car during a rainstorm. If there was some malfunction with the fob or the car that caused it to open on its own especially during rain or snow then GM would likely be on the hook for the mess.

Are the modules all the same after 2005? I see some good prices on 2009 units on the bay.
