    Power running boards question

Been reading the motors are very pricey if they go bad, the drivers side of mine is making a strange noise, different from the other side it seems, so not sure if the motor is on it's way out or not.

Probably a stupid question but, can you pull the fuse to them when the boards are down so they are down all the time when driving or parked or will they be hitting curbs etc constantly if they were in the down position all the time?

The vehicle sits pretty high so I didn't know if anybody had tried this or not.

I have a motor if you want to have someone replace it. Let me know.

You can drive around with them down and not worry about hitting things. People around here do it.

    Get the non electric!
They look better and won’t embarrass you when they break. You can find both for under $300 used. The electric ones tend to break often. When the electric ones are up in drive mode the front bumper looks like it’s 3 inches longer and doesn’t look correct.

Do you pull a fuse when they are in the down position and they stay there? Or a relay?

Yep, pull the fuse is the best option. Or crawl under and unplug them. But then the plugs are exposed to water and corrosion making a future repair more difficult.
