    Common moonroof drain issue

Hello. My 2008 CTS moonroof drains continue to clog monthly, which results in water falling into my lap from the ceiling when it rains. I wrote cadillac asking them to retrofit my vehicle with proper drains per previous posts on here, but they never wrote back. Question, has anyone had any luck in getting cadillac to do this?

Your CTS is 11+ years old now---Good luck with that.

After spending several years working for a few different GM dealerships, I can assure you that you will not hear back from Cadillac regarding any type of retrofit. I'm also not too sure where you heard that there was any type of retrofit available.

The only luck you would have with the dealership providing any type of assistance is if you decided to call, make an appointment, and drop the car off to have them try to find and correct the leak. Keep in mind that since your car is 11+ years old, you would be 100% responsible for the crazy service bill at the end of it all.

Your best bet is to follow the link that Long provided in the above post and give it a shot yourself.

Thanks all. Fixed it and I’m hoping it’s permanent. Been sick of water leaking into cabin every time it rains. I know a class action was recently filed regarding this issue, so maybe I can end up recouping some damages.

    Class action, really?
If that ever happens, which I sincerely doubt, it will amount to peanuts for the awardees.

Glad to hear the drain mods were done.
    Should solve your problems.

    Exactly.
And you know The General will drag the litigation out until there are no original owners left in existence.

Well, I hope you're at least giving them the impression they have some inheritance so they continue to be nice to you.

I already told my gearhead son that I'm getting buried in my V wagon.

If he's still talking to you at the office, you raised him right.
I want to be buried with my wife; over/under depending on whoever kicks first.

Nice. I could be buried with my wife, too. I mean put the back seat down and then the horizontal mambo.... Like you, I'm not picky, top or bottom.
