Has anyone looked into the similarities between the Saab 2.8 liter Turbo with VVT and the 3.6 liter VVT? These engine computers seem incredibly smart, and I honestly don't see why it couldn't deal with the 3.6 liter with an injector upgrade.
Obviously the first step would be someone getting it to run the 3.6 liter without boost, then take the step into a low boost setting. I think it only deals with .7 bar of boost pressure.
These engines were both developed at the same place by the same people at around the same time....
However, I think the 2.8 only deals with VVT on the intake side, kinda like the 3900. But it is a 24 valve like the 3.6 liter....
Has anyone thought of this?
Does anyone have technical information on either engine that could prove or disprove their similarities?
