    Question Need Vacuum Hose diagram

I removed the upper and lower intake manifolds to change the wires on the 1998 Catera and now have a vaccum line that I can't find a port for. The line appears to attatch to the lower driver's side of the transmission or engine. I checked it with a small vaccum pump and I think it attaches to a diaphram/actuator of some sort. The local Cadillac Dealership said they couldn't help and I am trying to get out of buying a service manual for this seemly simple problem.
Any help would be very welcome. Thanks.

Remember that there is a largeish breather from the auto box that resides at the rear of the engine and vents to atmosphere....
