HELP! Did my DeVille need bypass surgery?
Took the thing to the dealer to have the 'Service Ride Control' message looked at and they said the strut electronics on the left side were shot.
They said they couldn't replace the struts because GM doesn't make them anymore.
So instead for $30, they installed a relay that bypassed the ride control systems leaving normal struts.
I feel crippled! Did the car really need this? Or was there an easier way of correcting this?

Re: HELP! Did my DeVille need bypass surgery?
This is for a 96 but might help you with that bypass question,(apparently not a good idea), as well as them telling you there is nothing else to replace them with.
I did a search using the key words "service ride control" to find that. If you would like more info on that this is everything I found doing that search.
