Idler Arm and Tie Rod Problems.

On my 81 Seville, the Idler Arm, both Tie Rods, and the outer cv boots are shot. How hard should all of this be to replace. Should I get new CV shafts rather than repairing the old ones. Also my brake light is on, and the parking brake is up. What else could it be?
    Thanks for your help,
    Dave.

The axle assemble is always cheaper to buy than a CV joint and it takes the same amount of work.

The idler arm and axle shafts won't be a piece of cake unless you know what your doing.

I also agree its much easier, and in many cases nowadays cheaper to replace the entire cv chaft than just try to reboot an old cv shaft.

Not anymore. Its as simple as unbolting the old axle a installing the new axle. You don't have to grease anything anymore.

Brake lite on could be as simple as low fluid in master cyl.

The brake reservoir is full, and the parking brake has released. I have been really busy this week, but I will try and keep you updated.
    Thanks, Dave.

I meant removing JUST the CV and replacing it.

Great time to be had by all!
